**Summer Availability Required**
The Holmes Student Center (HSC) Operation Services Staff is responsible for setting up, breaking down, and staffing events held in the student center. Staff members serve as the first point of contact for guests in the HSC and provide assistance to patrons, control entry points, and monitor the building. During events, staff members control event access, scan tickets, check ID’s, perform pat downs and bag checks, as well as crowd management. The Operation Services Staff ensures a safe, fun environment exists for all guests, performers, and staff in the HSC and helps hosting groups maintain compliance with the On-Campus Social Events Policy. Operation Services is seeking motivated individuals interested in advancement.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, including those with high staffing requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Friendly and personable demeanor
• Ability to remain calm in an emergency situation
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Must be enrolled for at least 9 credit hours
• GPA of 2.0 or better
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred
Pay Rate: $ 8.25
