Job Description

The Student Employee will support the functions and activities associated with the School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders (AHCD). Student must possess professionalism, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The Student Employee must be an Undergraduate student and majoring in studies outside of the School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders. WORK DAYS AND HOURS: This position requires a commitment of up to fifteen (15) hours per week. Work days and hours are flexible, but are dependent upon department needs. Work hours must be completed in increments of at least two consecutive hours between the hours of 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays. Afternoon availability on Thursdays AND morning availability on Mondays and Wednesdays will be given preference. UNDERGRADUATE Student MUST BE Federal Work-Study eligible. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage phone calls received on the main AHCD phone line; take messages and/or direct calls to the appropriate staff. 2. Provide administrative and data management support for office staff. 3. Schedule advising appointments. 4. Update and maintain departmental databases including reports, electronic and physical files. 5. Prepare Foundation correspondence and update Excel tracking files. 6. Organize archived files. 7. Scan and archive documents in accordance with established retention recommendations. 8. Assist with production of printed materials including banners, fliers, and emails. 9. Assist with organization of special events. 10. Perform basic housekeeping tasks, such as wiping counters, shelves, tables, etc. in the office suite space. 11. Maintain faculty mailbox labels and work room storage labels. 12. Walking errands on campus, as needed. 13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair or Office staff.

Job Requirements

MUST be UNDERGRADUATE student. MUST be WORK-STUDY ELIGIBLE. MUST be MAJORING IN STUDIES OUTSIDE of the School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders.

Pay Rate: $ 8.25
