Job Description

Conduct telephone interviews for the Illinois Department of Public Health Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)study, asking scripted health-related questions and recording responses. Results are used by the IDPH to design more effective health programs based on the needs of Illinois residents. This is a flexible position that can be scheduled around classes. Shifts are M-F 2-9pm, 1-5pm, 5-9pm, and 5:30-9pm, Sat. 10am-1:30pm and 1:30-5pm, Sun. 1-4:30pm and 4:30-8pm. We are located in the William R. Monat Building at 148 N. Third St. in downtown DeKalb (on bus route 7).

Job Requirements

A clear speaking voice, good communication skills, ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, attention to detail/recording accurate data, and good attendance. Extra-help as well as student employees are encouraged to apply.

Pay Rate: $ 9.00/hour
