Job Description

Reports to the Systems Administrator for the Vice Provost and is responsible for setting up and supporting all computers and peripheral equipment supported by the Vice Provost TechTeam. This position is first point of contact for all units reporting to the Vice Provost and is responsible for resolving technical issues in a timely manner. Maintain necessary updates for Vice Provost Department Computer and Tutoring Labs. Must be willing to work minimum of 15 hours weekly. Work Hours Available are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Job Requirements

Strong working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Programs is required • Prefer experience with MAC Operating Systems • Experience researching and troubleshooting software and hardware issues • Ability to assemble and disassemble computer systems • Excellent interpersonal skills a must • Ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with users • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. • Must be willing to work summers • Work Hours Available are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. • If you are qualified and meet the requirements, you may send a copy of your resume to kimwhalen@niu.edu
