Job Description

  1. Set rooms with Audio/Video/Lighting/Staging equipment in accordance with the contracts and supervisor instruction.
  2. Ensure client satisfaction and contract completion according to Holmes Student Center guidelines.
  3. Work as part of a team to solve problems.
  4. Maintain and repair Audio/Video/Lighting/PC equipment.
  5. Keep inventory on equipment and consumables used in the department.
  6. Clean and organize equipment inventory and the office.

Job Requirements

  1. Ability to work at heights, occasional and possible to work around.
  2. Uniforms will be worn on the job, provided without cost.
  3. Attention to detail both on the job and in the office.
  4. Willingness to take initiative for organizing and problem solving.
  5. Willingness to work occasional weekend, evening, and late night shifts.
  6. Valid driver's license preferred.
  7. Ability to lift at least 40lbs.

Pay Rate: $ $8.25 w/ Incremental Raises

Important Note About this Job

  1. Shifts are typically for 6 hours at a time and are scheduled from 7am - 1pm, 12pm - 6pm, 5pm - 11pm. Summer hours will vary. Occasionally Technician on Duty shifts will be assigned outside the typical schedule, primarily based on skill and availability.
  2. Schedules are made weekly and based upon events and project needs. Respect to class schedules and/or other commitments is a priority.
  3. Prior experience in the live entertainment, film, or recording industry is a plus.
  4. A man-lift is utilized occasionally.
